Happy Monday!

I had the BEST weekend in a loooong time. My hunny Kev took me to PBR (Professional Bull Riding) at the Nationwide Arena Saturday night and all I can say is YEEEE HAW! Hundreds of good country people there to watch cowboys get on 1/2 ton bulls to see who can stay on them the best for the longest. Does it get any better? Yeah, No. Hee hee.

Then Sunday I enjoyed a great church service then it was home to hang out for the rest of the day. My daughter Gracie and I grilled chops for the boys for dinner then we made them potatoes and mac-n-cheese. For dessert, we made them flour-less peanut butter cookies. Yum-o!

During this crazy fun weekend I got 2 more LO's done. They were really fun. 1 of them was for 10/9's Freaky Friday challenge @ ACBailey. (See links on right to visit them.) The challenge this time was to use a punch to create a background for your LO. The other LO I got done was for me/Creative Chaos. Which BTW I forgot to mention that I'm a guest designer for during the month of October. Fun Fun Fun! (See links section on the right to visit that site.)

Wha cha think? I thought they came out pretty good. Just trying to get some LO's made from the studio pics I had done for Gracie's 1st birthday. I have a bunch more to do. We'll see when I can get to those lol.

Fabulous Friday!!!

Today is a fabulous Friday! Why you ask? Well, it means that I am one day closer to tomorrow :) And what is tomorrow? PBR! For those of you who don't know, PBR is Professional Bull Riding. I am so excited to be going tomorrow night!!! I love it! I'm a cow-girl at heart and it's my fave show every year. Can we say perfect scrap pics????

Speaking of scrapping, let's get to some scrap-tastic stuff! Went crusing the websites today and we have some great stuff to report back to you!

1. ACBailey has their Freaky Friday challenge for this week posted. If you've never participated, it's loads of fun. They post the challenge on a Friday (like today) and lable it that date. For instance today's is Freaky Friday Challenge 9/9. They tell you what to do and where to post it. You must post before the following Friday. So if you want to get in on today's, you have until next Friday to post it. Check them out on my links section. Go to their forum, sign up, click on their Board Index and find the STOTD. This is where they are listed. Here is my entry from last week. I didn't win but my buddy Christina did. Her LO is right below mine.

I used purple bazzill card stock, LSS birthday paper, Bazzill edges for the cupcake icing, Thickers Vinyl lettering and Creative Chaos journal spot.

Christina used: The Basic Grey Ambrosia element Stickers as my edges. The paper is Scenic Route grafton George Street and Bowtell Ave. Kaisercraft Rhinestones, Sassafras Lass Cardstock Stickers and of course Stickles.

FABULOUS!!! Rock on girl!

2. Creative Chaos is having a Friday Free for All. Leave a comment and see what happens! Super cool!

3. I loves Jillibean Soup! They have rocken papers that are just out of this world. Today they have a super-duper tutorial. It's a Christmas tree you can make from double sided paper and a slender tall pyramid form from like Michaels. Really sa-weet! Check out their link on my links section. Here's a pic!

4. October Afternoon now had Core'dinations cardstock. Go check out some LO's their design team has come up with. Very very very cute stuff.

5. Cosmo Cricket has a super cute flower garden project showing on their site. Again, their link is on my links section. Has a little how to with it so you too can have this really sweet project for you or to share :)

A whole week??

Wow I can't believe it's been over a week since I last blogged! I'll admit, I didn't want to blog if I didn't have any LO's to show ya so I got scrappy this weekend and cranked them out! It probably helped that I took Friday off for a "me" day and had the house all to my self hee hee. I had a fabulous time working with October Afternoon's Cherry Hill papers and embellishments. I also liked working with Cherry Arte paper for my 4th of July LO's. Thickers if you couldn't tell, are a big fave of mine for titles hee hee. Another product that I am enjoying working with are Creative Chaos's journaling spots. They come in 3 colors, white, kraft and a cream color. They are great to work with and I can customize them too! If I don't want the little paper colored border that's around it, I can cut that off. That's what I did with a couple of these. I just wanted to js to start at the border that was stamped on there. It turned out wonderful! Again, if you are interested in any of the products I have used, you can get them by going to the links section of this blog on the right hand side. Happy 4th of July everyone!!!!

What a big day it was today! Up at 6:30am since Gracie was ready to start her day. So, into the tub she went. After she got all spiffed up, it was breakfast time. Finally around 8am, she decided it was time for a nap. Weew. Then it was my turn to get ready. There was tons to do. I had to get ready and get bottles together, camera ready and pack the truck so we could get Codey to his school for their 4th of July parade. Then it was off to claim our spot on Main street in Ashville a whole hour and a half early.....Ugh. Gracie was too thrilled staying in the car that long so after we parked we took her on a walk. Then it was parade time and Kevin's mom and dad got there just in time to sit with us. Alyssa and her bf Brandon came over to say hi and then left. There was tons to see in the parade. After Codey there were lots of floats and entertainers. A guy on a really big horse went by and saw Gracie waving at him so he came back and let her pet his horse. WAY COOL! That horse was as tall or taller than our Ford 150 we were sitting in!!! So after the parade it was off to go home and get ready for my friends wedding that Kevin officiated. Then out to dinner and now, I am talking to all of you : ) In the midst of this CRAZY weekend, I finished a layout. Awesome! I used October Afternoon Cherry Hill paper and embellishments, Thickers title, Maya Road crocheted butterfly, misc buttons and ribbon. Had to do something with pink and poka dots. 2 of my favorite things. Alyssa and Brandon were so cute. Had to scrap it. The things for this LO were purchased at www.ACBaileyDesigns.net. Erica Gerhart is the owner and has a fantastic store. I order most of my stuff through her as she has fast shipping, free shipping on orders over $35 on the 1st of every month and she has wonderful customer service. I highly recommend her store. I give this store 5 out of 5 stars as I have always had great service and products.

I have another that I would like to finish but I have to print out my picture first. I'm so excited to finish that one because now, I have my Creative Chaos journaling spots. They came in 3 different colors with tons of cool designs. It was a great experience shopping with them at their Etsy location. You simply MUST check out their site. Great store, excellent customer service and fast shipping. I ordered my stuff on Tuesday and I got it Thursday! Hey guys! Or, I should say gals lol!

It's a wonderful day. I get to leave work early, went to BD Mongolian BBQ for lunch and my hubby got on Facebook. As soon as I leave work today, I've got to go to Sam's Club to shop, go home get the truck packed and get Codey off to the high school for his marching band parade tonight. Fun, fun, fun! Then tomorrow it's off to the zoo and dress shopping for my friends wedding on Saturday. She's getting married at 4pm on the 4th. How neat?!?!

OK, so as far as scrap stuff, Sassafrass Lass is having a yummy drawing for some really neat Pear Pals. You have to go check their site out. Ok so my day today is super great! I have had just everything go my way. It isn't often that life happens for me like that so I will remember today always. Maybe I should scrap today huh??? Hee hee.

I've had meetings tomorrow get cancelled. Yeay
I got to go to my fave place to eat (Chipotle) with my hunny.
A WAY cool compliment came to me today from my buddy Jenn.
I got to make my friends laugh.

It's been a great day. Then to top it all off, my buddie Connie from ACB posted the link to Jillibean Soup and it sneak peeked their new line of pp. All I have to say is YUM YUM YUM! I REALLY want some!! LOL. So, I just added their link to my links list. If you haven't seen their new stuff yet, go there. Now! Just kidding. But for real, check it out! It's Monday and it's the start of a new week. Annnnd, it's a short week! The 4th of July is on Saturday so here at work, they give us Friday off and because of the festivities.....we might be getting out early on Thursday : ) Whooo hoo! Then my friend is getting married on the 4th so that will be a lot of fun and fireworks ; )

Scrap related items....I got a few LO's done this weekend. I had my SIL come over for 2 1/2 hours yesterday and I got 2 done. Weew. I even was able to take pics of my best work this weekend and I JUST got it posted to my gallery at photobucket. I love that site. So user friendly. I have come to realize this weekend just how important journaling is. In honor of that, I was sure to put extra detail in the LO I did of Codey's 1st High School marching band parade. I even wrote a note from Step-Mom. There was a cool embellishment from Jillybean that said, Note from Mom but since I'm not his mom and I don't want to call myself that, I wrote in "Step-" in the small space above Mom. It turned out really nice I think.

I really enjoyed using the marching band paper I found at my LSS. Codey has another parade on the 1st of July and the 4th. I am going to make it to the one on the 4th but I don't know about the one on the 1st...I'll try real hard.

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday

So, I guess Thursdays are the day's I'm inspired to write on here lol. I noticed that last Thursday was the last time I posted. Weird.

I have gotten a few layouts done since I was on here last. 4 to be exact. I did one of my birthday. It was a lot of fun that day. All of the important people in my life were over for dinner and cake. Yum! Then I did a LO of my baby girl Gracie and my dh- Kevin. She loves her daddy so much I couldn't pass up a great opportunity to scrap the cute pics. Then I was able to finally scrap the pics of Kevin and his son Codey, working on our back deck. They are so "manly" hee hee. Anything to do with power tools and guy time, they are all about it. And lastly, I got a LO done of Gracie and her first time holding a paper towel tube. Yea, I know it sounds weird but recently, I was inspired by my friend Leah to scrap everyday things, not just special events. When people look back many years from now, they will want to know what was normal everyday life like. Thanks Leah! I love having you as a friend. Great inspiration.

I hope to have pictures of the LO's added to my photobucket account soon. I will be trying today to get the slide show from there hooked up to this blog. For now, I guess it's fine since there are no followers on this blog hee hee. That's ok, I just like a good place to write things out.

Hi!
So this is my first post for my scrap blog. I guess I'm not sure where to start :) Scrapbooking is a really big part of me. It's where I can be as creative as I want to be without boundries. My family is really important to me so most of what I'll post on here will be about my adventures with them.
